EZ2 Connect Installation, Demo, and Training Held at Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi

On 20th May 2025, Team Briogene successfully conducted the installation, live demo, and hands-on training session for the EZ2 Connect System at Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Karachi.

Aga Khan University Hospital, founded in 1985, is a leading private healthcare institution in Pakistan, offering comprehensive secondary and tertiary care. As the primary teaching hospital of the Aga Khan University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, it plays a vital role in the country’s healthcare ecosystem.

The EZ2 Connect System revolutionizes molecular workflows with its automated, cartridge-based technology, capable of processing up to 24 samples simultaneously. This compact benchtop instrument automates critical pretreatment steps—such as cartridge piercing, sample incubation, and reagent pipetting—ensuring efficiency and consistency in sample processing. Compatible with diverse sample types including serum, plasma, blood, and FFPE tissues, and featuring an intuitive touchscreen interface, the system is designed for ease of use, even by new laboratory personnel.

During the training session, Team Briogene provided in-depth technical training to the hospital’s lab staff, explaining the principle, functions, and applications of the EZ2 Connect. Attendees also had the opportunity to run live samples on the instrument, gaining hands-on experience and practical confidence in its operation. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with users expressing high satisfaction with the system’s performance.
